The City of Calgary is seeking to contract with two Suppliers for the supply and delivery of each of the follow two categories of meters: (i) Group 1 (mechanical water meters sizes 15mm to 50mm); and (ii) Group 2 (large non-mechanical water meters sized 75mm and greater). Through its Water Meter and Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) Program, The City of Calgary is replacing a significant portion of its metering infrastructure. Reliable delivery and meter supply in accordance with the requirements of this RFP are critical to the success and efficient delivery of this program. The estimated quantities and types of meters that will be acquired through the contracts that result from this RFP are outlined in Appendix F. The distribution or proportion of meters purchased as between each of the two suppliers selected for each of Group 1 (mechanical water meters sizes 15mm to 50mm) and Group 2 (large non-mechanical water meters sized 75mm and greater) is anticipated to be roughly equal but reliability of supply and delivery to meet forecast needs and avoid wasted installer time and additional administrative cost may impact this proportionate share. Proponents may submit a Proposal for either or both of Group 1 and Group 2. See Submission Instructions for specific requirements for each of these submission options.
