Renovation of a library in Indianola, Iowa. Completed plans call for the renovation of a library.
The City of Indianola is seeking Requests for Proposals for tuckpointing work at the Indianola Public Library, 207 N. B St, Indianola, IA 50125. The project will include: 1. Inspect all exterior masonry walls for evidence of moisture intrusion and deterioration such as, a. Efflorescence b. Damp or discolored bricks or grout lines. c. Mortar erosion of more than ¼”. d. Mortar crumbling from the joints. e. Significant voids, hairline cracks or separation between brick and mortar. 2. Inspect any beams, lintels and cornices for moisture intrusion. 3. Repair and / or replace any damaged beam, lintel or cornice. 4. Remove any damaged bricks and repoint. 5. Tuckpoint all other areas in need of repair.
