Estimated Quantities: Earth Excavation, 100% Maximum Density Required For Earth Embankments: 625 000 (m3) Haul On Earth Material: 12 573 841 (m3.hm) Sub-Base Course In Place, Contractor Supply: 387 000 (t) Granular Base Course In Place: 142 000 (t) Asphalt Concrete In Place (EPS): 90 000 (t) Bidders shall submit all inquiries pertaining to the Bid Package documents a minimum of 3 business days prior to close of bidding directed to: Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement RFXquestions@gov.sk.ca SCOPE The intent of this guideline is to aid in the design, testing, quality control, measurement and payment procedures for the application of Emulsified Asphalt Slurry Seal Surfacing. DESCRIPTION Slurry seal shall consist of a mixture of an emulsified asphalt, mineral aggregate, water, and additives, proportioned, mixed and uniformly spread over a properly prepared surface as directed by the Buyer's Authorized Representative (B.A.R.). The slurry seal shall be applied as a homogeneous mat, adhere firmly to the prepared surface, and have a skid-resistant texture throughout its service life.
