Capital Region Water intends to award the contract to the overall lowest responsible bidder as determined by Capital Region Water's Board of Directors in the best interest of Capital Region Water. Performance, Payment, and Bid Bonds are not required for this Bid or Agreement. An anti-collusion affidavit is required for this Bid. Bids shall be submitted only on the included Proposal Form within PennBid. While Bidders may make comments to clarify their bid, Bidders cannot change, modify, delete or make additions to the wording to any of the Bidding Documents including, but not limited to, the Agreement. Unauthorized conditions, exceptions, limitations, or provisions attached to a bid may be cause for rejection of the bid. Alterations by erasure or interlineation must be explained or noted in the bid over the signature of the Bidder. ALL QUESTIONS AND/OR INQUIRIES REGARDING THE BIDDING DOCUMENTS SHALL BE SUBMITTED VIA PENNBID'S "CLARIFICATIONS" TAB. TELEPHONE AND E-MAIL INQUIRES WILL NOT BE ACCEPTED. Bidding Documents may only be modified by Addendum issued by Capital Region Water prior to the Bid opening date. Capital Region Water reserves the right to reject any or all bids and also reserves the right to waive any defects, errors, omissions, irregularities, or informalities in a bid or the bid procedure; and to accept any Bid which it may deem to be for or in the best interest of Capital Region Water. Clarification Deadline: 5/15/2023 12:00 PM : Tammie Sheaffer, Interim Procurement Manager at: tammie.sheaffer@capitalregionwater.com. 1. Remove twelve (12) existing aluminum-framed, single-hung paned glass windows from the existing exterior frameworks and sashes. Approximate dimensions of existing windows are: a) 143" x 48"- Quantity of (9) Nine b) 96" x 48"- Quantity of (2) Two) c) 48" x 48" with Obscured Glass-Quantity of (1) One 2. Remove existing mulling and gaskets around existing windows. 3. The contractor is responsible for removing all demolition debris, including disposal of the old aluminum windows. 4. Install twelve (12) Quaker Commercial 300 Series 3-1/4" Emerge (E300), double-hung, aluminum-framed windows. The color is to be dark bronze anodized. Hardware to be black with sash as gravity latch. 5. Glass in the new windows is to be energy basic (Dual Silver) argon filled. Glass is to be 1" Clear, Insulated Low E glass panes. 6. One (1) window (Women's Restroom) - 48" x 48" is to be "Obscured Glass" energy basic (Dual Silver) argon filled. Glass is to be 1" Clear, Insulated Low-E glass panes. 7. All windows are to have a full screen included with Better View (TM) technology and shipped with windows. 8. All windows are to have associated vertical mulls, partially mulled or prepped for mulling with mull ratings of DP-50 or better. 9. All windows are to include receptors for Header, Left and Right Jambs, and sill. Frame depth is to be 3-1/4". 10. Nailing flange is to be excluded from all windows. 11. Aluminum, double-hung windows must meet National Fenestration Performance Levels of: a) U-Factor-0.29 b) Solar Heat Gain Co-Efficent-0.24 c) Visible Transmittance-0.55 d) Air Leakage- +/-0.3 e) ANSI Z97.1 and CRF 1201-1.11 & ANSI Z97.1-2015 (R2020)
