Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Haiku, Hawaii. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

SCOPE OF WORK Contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, tools, materials and transportation/mobilization to perform all operations in connections with providing parking lot paving and striping services at the Kaumualii State Park, Wailua, Kauai, Hawaii. The Department of Land and Natural Resources (DLNR) Division of State Parks will require the contractor to : 1. Install and maintain Best Management Practices (BMP's) 2. Cold planing existing A.C. pavement 2" deep , starting from the end of the existing paved driveway, 1,900 SY. To include the existing ADA parking and loading area 3. Install new aggregate base course, 2" thick, 1,900 SY 4. Level, grade and compact existing gravel and base course for drainage so that there is no ponding on the new pavement, 1,900 SY 5. A.C. paving State Mix V, 1,900 SY 6. Repaint ADA and loading area markings, install new cement wheelstop 7. Remove and replace 40' of 1" schedule 80 PVC domestic water pipe . New PVC pipe to include a 1.5"schedule 80 PVC chase pipe covering the 1" pipe 8. Remove and properly dispose of any excess excavated/cold planing materials, gravel, and dirt from the job site. 9. Identify domestic water meter. Identify electric box on driveway shoulder. 10. Ok to move rocks in preparation for cold planing, grading, and AC paving. Rocks to be placed back in exact locations prior to paving. 11. Ok to barricade and close the job site during non work hours as not to damage any prep work taking place. The contract shall begin once an approved purchase order has been received by the Department of Land and Natural Resources, Division of State Parks. Contract end shall be when payment has been received by the contractor from the State of Hawaii, Division of State Parks. SITE INSPECTION Prior to submittal of an offer, offerors may inspect the location to familiarize themselves with existing conditions, rules and regulations, and the extent and nature of work to be performed. Offeror inspection is not mandatory, however, submission of an offer shall be evidence that the offeror understands the scope of the project and shall comply with specifications herein, if awarded the contract. No additional compensation, subsequent to bid opening, shall be allowed by reason of any misunderstanding or error regarding site conditions or work to be performed.
