The work comprises the construction of 10-in and 15-inch diameter gravity sewer pipes; polymer concrete manholes and a cast-in-place concrete manhole base; connections to the existing Diaz Lift Station influent sewer and existing manholes near Rancho Way; steel casing for pipe crossing under existing storm drain and existing utilities as shown in the Contract Drawings; plug valve replacements; abandonment of existing 10-in and 15-in gravity sewer pipe; sewer force main connector installation at the existing Diaz Lift Station; excavation, trenching, shoring, and backfill; potholing and preparing a pothole report of existing utilities; protecting-in-place existing utilities during construction; shutdowns and related work; temporary sewer bypass pumping and maintenance, including the use of line-stops, flow-through plugs and appurtenances for the proposed sewer tie-ins and plug valve replacements and force main connector installations; dewatering, including obtain applicable dewatering wells permits, groundwater control, treatment, disposal and discharge of up to 300gpm of groundwater into District's sewer collection system and wet well at the existing Diaz Road Sewer Lift Station; importing required backfill material, pavement and multi-use trail removal; replace-in-kind multi-use trail damaged during construction; hydro-static testing and miscellaneous testing; coordination regarding pipeline connections and field start-up and testing; implementation of required BMPs during construction; implementation of traffic control during construction per the City of Temecula's encroachment permit requirements and approved traffic control plans; all related work; as well as utilizing two (2) crew shifts per work-day throughout the duration of the Project to complete all work as shown on the Contract Drawings and Specifications.
