Site work and paving for a water / sewer project in New Brunswick, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and for paving for a water / sewer project.
Work includes but is not limited to 2,060 LF of DIP water main, 4 UNITS of fire hydrant assemblies, 47 UNITS of curb valves and boxes, 831 LF of 1" type 'k' copper water services, 1 UNIT 6"x6" wet tap and valve, 55 LF concrete encasement, 70 LF sanitary sewer main, 196 LF of 6"x8"x16" concrete vertical curb, 2,150 SY of pavement restoration, and other incidentals. Due to the ongoing pandemic, bid packages will be provided by way of FedEx or USPS delivery. Roberts Engineering Group, LLC by phone (609-586-1141) during regular business hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., to provide account information and coordinate purchase and delivery of bid package. Checks must be made payable to Roberts Engineering Group, LLC. Bids shall be submitted on the form(s) provided and shall be in accordance with the specifications contained in the Instructions to Bidders and other bidding documents. In order to assure that all potential bidders receive the complete bid documentation, as well as any amendments, modifications or supplements thereto, bid documentation must be obtained only from the Engineer, Cameron Corini, P.E., C.M.E. of Roberts Engineering Group, LLC, 1670 Whitehorse Hamilton Square Road, Hamilton, New Jersey 08690 by registering with the Engineer and paying the required documentation fee. Failure to follow this procedure for registration and receipt of documentation in submitting a bid will result in the bid being deemed incomplete, and therefore will be rejected. At the designated time and place for the receipt of proposals, the City Clerk will open and read virtually the name and proposed fee for all the responses received. Each bidder is required to bid each item on a fixed unit price basis, which will be maintained throughout the contract. Each bid shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashiers check or bid bond payable to the City Treasurer of the City of New Brunswick, as a guarantee that if the contract is awarded to them, they will enter into a contract, therefore. The amount so deposited shall be ten percent (10%) of the bid, but in no case in excess of $20,000.00. N.J.S.A. 40A11-14, provides that the Governing Body of any municipality may provide the form and manner of approval of all guarantee, indemnity, fidelity or other bonds required. Bidders must comply with P.L.1963 Chapter 150 (Prevailing Wage), P.L.1975 Chapter 127, N.J.A.C. 17:27, N.J.S.A. 10:5-31 et seq., P.L. 1977 Chapter 33 and with P.L.1999 Chapter 238. In addition, all bidders must comply with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act - N.J.S.A. 34:11-56.48 et seq., when applicable and comply with the Contractor Responsibility Certification and respond to the Disclosure of Investment Activities in Iran form. According to 40A:11-23, the City is prohibited from receiving bids on Mondays or any day directly following a State or Federal Holiday. The City Council of the City of New Brunswick reserves the right to reject any and all bids if in its opinion it is in the best interest so to do.
