Body of Notice: The State of Alaska, Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, is seeking competitive Bids for qualified contractors to provide construction services for removal and disposal of the flooring in the AMYA (Alaska Military Youth Academy) Barracks and DFAC (Dinning Facility) and replace with non-slip, high use roll-on flooring. on JBER, Alaska as specified in the attached Invitation to Bid (ITB). DMVA/FMO Building Management Specialist Ph: (907) 428-7170 Email: james.manco@alaska.gov Work under this Contract includes all material, tools, labor, shipping and travel if necessary, to complete the project detailed herein and located at Camp Carroll, JBER Alaska. All work must be completed in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Contract Documents. B. This project has been identified for the removal and disposal of the flooring in the AMYA (Alaska Military Youth Academy) Barracks and DFAC (Dinning Facility) and replace with non-slip, high use roll-on flooring. This applies to buildings 60724, 60726, 60728, 60730, 60732, 60734, 60736, 60738 and 60620. The work consists of removing the existing wall base transition, removing the old carpet or tile, and preparing the surface for the installation of the new material (using a low viscosity concrete based leveling material) as needed. Contractor will install/apply new preapproved rubberized epoxy based or other roll on flooring material and install the new wall base transition. In building 60620, the contractor will remove and dispose of the carpet and tile as indicated on the map, polish and seal the underlying concrete slab. Location is on Camp Carroll JBER, Alaska. The Contractor shall supply all labor, equipment, materials, licenses, disposal costs, insurance and any travel expenses to complete the work outlined in this ITB.
