Bids are invited for the installation of water main bores at the Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railroad Crossing at 6th Street, 8th Street, and 10th Streets. 6th Street and 8th Street both require a 6-inch water main replacement spanning approximately 120-LF with various water main items and quantities of work including but not limited to: Bore and install 60-LF of 14-inch steel encasement including 6-inch C-900 restrained joint carrier water main beneath BNSF RR crossing. Other items include approximately 60-LF of 6-inch open cut C-900 DR 18 PVC water main, two gate valve assemblies, connecting the installed water main to the existing water main at two locations, capping existing water main to be abandoned in place, approximately 150 SY of pavement repair (hot mix by others), reconnecting one water service meter, including all related appurtenances, fittings, pressure testing, and disinfection as specified in the construction documents. 10th Street at the BNSF RR crossing requires a 4-inch water main replacement spanning approximately 120-LF with various water main items and quantities of work including but not limited to: Bore and install 60-LF of 10-inch steel encasement including 4-inch C-900 restrained joint carrier water main beneath BNSF RR crossing. Other items include approximately 60-LF of 4-inch open cut C-900 DR 18 PVC water main, two gate valve assemblies, connecting the installed water main to the existing water main at two locations, capping existing water main to be abandoned in place, approximately 150 SY of pavement repair (hot mix by others), including all related appurtenances, fittings, pressure testing, and disinfection as specified in the construction documents.
