Reference Number 0000319240 Northville Township is seeking proposals from qualified trail design and builders to construct multi-use trails at Legacy Park. Legacy Park, owned by Northville Township is a 332-acre green space located near the eastern border of Northville Township, off Seven Mile Road between Haggerty and Northville roads. Home of the former Northville State Psychiatric Hospital this property is undergoing remediation. Demolition of the remaining buildings is currently underway and some major changes will take place including the addition of an essential services complex and addition of a second water tower. Additionally, reforestation efforts are anticipated to begin early this summer. An updated master plan for the park is in the early stages of development and last fall the Township Board adopted the Legacy Park Trail Plan prepared by Kay-Linn Enterprises. The Legacy Park Trail Plan features 17.5 miles of multi-use trail conceptual design with recommended phased construction.
