Renovation of a military facility in Baltimore, Maryland. Completed plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
This project, located in Baltimore City, will provide comprehensive repairs, service, code required upgrades and warranties pertaining to the building elevator at the MDOT SHA Headquarters located at 211 E. Madison Street. The building will be fully occupied by the Administration while the construction work is occurring. The work will consist of the following: Replacement of one (1) Hydraulic Passenger Elevator PE4 in the 211 building. Elevator shall have four (4) stops total. Provision of new controls, power drive, oil-cooler, jack/cylinder, buffers, firefighter's control, scavenger pump, roller guides, door operator, entrance sill, car & hoistway doors, tracks/hangers and closers/rollers. Refurbishment of cab platform/sling, guide rails, hoistway entrance sill and pit ladder will also be provided. All work shall comply with applicable codes and the provisions outlined in the specifications. The MDOT SHA reserves the right to reject any and all bids Bid Security shall equal at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid. Also, the successful bidder will be required to supply Payment and Performance Bonds for all Contracts in excess of $100,000.00.
