The Bell County Public Library Board of Trustees is requesting Lump Sum bids for the Renovation of the HVAC System at the Pineville Branch of the Bell County Public Library Note that this project is Tax Exempt and Bidders ARE NOT to include taxes in their Bids. Scope of Work consists of, but is not limited to the following: The Bell County Library at Pineville is in need of a complete replacement of (3) of its (4) gas fired roof top units (RTU-1,2 & 3). Work on the 4th roof top unit (RTU-4) will also have to be performed. Due to pressure issues in the RTU-4 ductwork system, it needs to be lifted off of its curb and a curb extender will need to be installed. Adjustments to its return ductwork at and below the curb can also be anticipated. A motorized outside air damper is required to be field installed to the RTU- (4) as well. Additional improvements in the library include: a replacement of the electrical heater in the Mech/Elec Room, replacement of the (4) existing exhaust fans, and adjustments to some ceiling device airflows in the back offices Sealed Bids submitted as specified, received by the correct time and date shall be opened and publicly read aloud. Bids must be submitted only on the forms provided in the Project Manual. The proposal envelope must have the Project Name, Contractors Name and date on the outside. Bid bonds in the amount of 5% of the total bid are required. Performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract amount are required of each successful bidder upon execution of their contract. All contractors and subcontractors employed on this project shall be in compliance with the Commonwealth of Kentucky requirements for Worker's Compensation Insurance (according to KRS 342) and Unemployment Insurance (according to KRS Chapter 341). No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids for a period of sixty(60) days there from.
