The Selected Respondent will provide wastewater removal and cleaning/sanitizing services on a one-time basis at designated buildings through the Chicagoland area. The Selected Respondent shall provide the following services including but not limited to: a. Identifying the contamination and using the appropriate extraction and disposal method b. Extracting potentially contaminated materials from identified areas in CHA Buildings c. Delivering potentially contaminated materials to authorized acceptance/disposal facilities d. Ensuring worksite is left in a clean and uncontaminated state e. Ensure building foundations are repaired and sealed in a fashion that will prevent future water infiltration f. Must provide all equipment and materials necessary to perform the services g. Additional deliverables include reports as outlined in the Scope of Work The vendor will be responsible for extracting potentially contaminated water from unoccupied buildings in the basement pit area of the steam plant and all locations. Multiple tanker trucks will be needed for simultaneous and continuous pumping. The measurements listed within this solicitation are approximate. Vendors are encouraged to use their expertise and verify as much information as possible in the field. The selected vendor must use vacuum tanker trucks to extract and transport water from the specified location(s) to an offsite treatment facility for disposal. The vacuum trucks must be operable and equipped with a tank and a pump. The heavy-duty tanker must extract the liquid, including sludge disposal, muck-out cleaning, and related material removal. The heavy-duty tanker must be able to extract, hold, and transfer the liquids from the locations below to a suitable offsite facility with maximum capacity loads. The vendor will be responsible for cleaning the working areas from listed locations of asbestos or 4 contamination. This project requires two men per eight hours of work to clean and remediate asbestos around the pipes. Cleaning the asbestos must be done by the glove bag method. Must be able to clean, power wash, and power steam the floors and walls with pressure steam equipment, using the appropriate personal protective equipment and applying anti-microbial agent throughout the floor. The vendor will remove all debris from the floors of the buildings where water has been extracted. The vendor must repair and seal any damage to the foundation of the buildings to prevent the water from re-entering into the facilities after being inspected once the water is extracted. There is no electrical lighting and no electrical power in the building. Therefore, the contractor must be responsible for providing any electrical power or generators to perform the work. The vendor must always provide proper oversight while on site and ensure work is completed promptly and efficiently. In addition, the vendor shall post appropriate signage and place safety barriers around active work areas. The vendor must be current and provide copies of their license, permit, and certificate of insurance. In addition, the vendor must follow city, state, and local authority compliance guidelines. Quotes provided must include the cost of equipment, fuel, hauling, labor, materials, all permits, disposal fees, and any related expenses. The vendor shall provide a full accounting of all water and waste material removed from the site, including transportation costs for removal/disposal. Throughout the duration of this project, CHA staff will be onsite and shall verify completion of the job site upon being notified by the vendor. A purchase order will be issued to the winning bidder and shall be in effect for the duration of the project, which will be less than 1-yea
