The Contractor is responsible to provide all the required labour, materials, tools, equipment and incidental necessary for the HVAC repairs and maintenance services described herein. There three types of services are listed as followed: a) Scheduled preventative maintenance, b) Emergency and non-emergency repairs to restore the operations of HVAC systems, and c) As-and-when requested technical consultation related to BC Transit’s HVAC systems. The Contractor must ensure its compliance to all the applicable government regulations related to health and safety, including Appendix H - BC Transit Contractor Safety Program (attached). This program may be updated and notified by BC Transit during the Term. The Contractor must ensure that its’ assigned staff members attend and successfully pass the applicable safety orientation/training of BC Transit prior to commencement of the work. The labour costs during the time of such training must be at the expense of the Contractor. All equipment and materials must be suitable for the purposes intended and must not be harmful to the environment. They must be used in the manner specified by the manufacturers and must be brought onto the premises in the manufacturers’ original containers. The equipment/vehicle(s) must be in compliance with the Provincial Motor Vehicle Act / BC Motor Vehicle Act Regulations and/or Commercial Transport Act / Commercial Transport Regulations where applicable. Quality control is the Contractor’s responsibility. In all instances where BC Transit’s property or equipment is damaged by the Contractor, the Contractor must submit to BC Transit, or designator a full report of the incident and extent of the damage – verbally immediately of the occurrence and a written follow-up report within 24 hours of the occurrence. The Contractor must comply with all WSBC regulations and other regulatory agency requirements for record keeping and reporting of all accidents resulting in death, trauma, or occupational illness. The Contractor must provide a verbal report to BC Transit within one hour of occurrence and a written follow-up report within 24 hours of the occurrence. Contractor is responsible to contact BC One Call before digging, excavation or other works in proximity to gas lines, pipelines, cables, water lines, power lines and other public utilities. BC Transit reserves the right to contact the client contact persons provided for reference checking. Clarification Deadline 2:00:00 pm PST 23 May, 2023 The term of the agreement is to be for a period of three (3) years, with an option in favour of BC Transit to extend the agreement on the same terms and conditions for an additional term of up to two (2) additional two years terms.
