Site work and addition to a fire / police facility in Defiance, Missouri. Conceptual plans call for the addition of a fire / police facility; and for site work for a fire / police facility.
St. Charles County is seeking Statements of Qualifications for design and engineering services for the Expansion of our Police Department Firing Range Facility. St Charles County Police Department is working with the Federal Bureau of Investigations to expand the Firing Range training facility located off Highway 94 in Defiance Missouri. The County conducted a feasibility study that is included as Exhibit B for reference. The study reflects the desired scope and how it may fit within the property as well as meeting safety requirements. It is the desire of the County and FBI to increase the current pistol range by adding a 15-25 lane, 50-yard range. Additionally, a 5-lane, 100-yard rifle range is also desired and would be located between the existing range and the new range. The new project needs to include the appropriate ballistic barriers and berm material to capture rounds and debris for compliance. While costs are always of a concern, this project has a limited budget so the Consultant must provide cost estimates to help the County and FBI determine the final scope to be constructed to meet the approved budget.
