Renovation of a residential development in Lakeport, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a residential development.
Notice is hereby given that the County of Lake will receive sealed bids in accordance with the bid documents for construction of the following project Stucco repair including patching and/or replacement work to eliminate cracks, dents, blisters, buckles, delamination, crazing and check cracking, dry outs, efflorescence, sweat outs, and similar defects and where bond to substrate has failed. Repair damaged exterior wall finish coat to match surrounding finish. Repair products and materials shall be subject to County approval and Contractor shall submit product data for each type of repair product proposed. A Bid Bond by an admitted surety insurer on the form provided by the County, cash, or a cashier's check or a certified check drawn to the order of the County of Lake, in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid price, shall accompany the Bid Form. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive informalities and irregularities. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond if it is awarded the contract for the Work. Project Cost Estimate: The estimated cost for the work is $190,000 Project Start Date: Successful bidder shall begin the Work within 10 days of the Notice to Proceed and shall complete the Work within the Contract Time. The undersigned Bidder agrees to execute a contract for this Work in the above amount and to furnish surety as specified within Seven (7) days after a written Notice of Award and on failure to do so agrees to forfeit to Owner the attached cash, cashier's check, certified check, U.S. money order, or bid bond, as liquidated damages for such failure, in the following amount constituting ten percent (10%) of the Base Bid amount above County also reserves the right to waive inconsequential deviations not involving price, time, or changes in the Work. The facility consists of the original 4-story courthouse which was built in 1968 and the subsequently attached 4-story addition, (referred to as the "Annex") which was added in approximately 1982. 2. The primary work to be performed under this contract includes pressure washing and applying contractor-provided paint on the following surfaces of the facility: a. Pressure wash and paint all exterior stucco walls of the facility. Note that the exterior of the original courthouse is dominated by windows and "sand panels" (which are not to be painted). The original courthouse does have some stucco elements, including the exterior stucco walls at the public entryway of the Courthouse and south-facing walls. Stucco dominates the Annex portion of the facility. b. Pressure wash and paint exposed concrete foundational elements that have previously been painted. c. Pressure wash and paint all previously painted concrete retaining walls that serve and support the facility. d. Pressure wash and paint previously painted concrete planter boxes on the north-side of the facility e. Pressure wash and paint the underside surface of the roof canopy that surrounds the original courthouse facility. f. Pressure wash and paint the following elements: i. All metal handrails including those that support stairs, staircases support structures, and walkways. This includes the railings on the west site of the facility that start at the 2nd floor entrance and extend past the rose garden to 2nd street. It also includes the railings that serve the rear entrance to the District Attorney's office ii. Metal elements of the south-facing 4th floor balcony iii. All metal elements of the fence (including hog wire) that serves the executive parking lot. iv. All surfaces of both HVAC platforms. Both serve the 3rd floor with one being located on the west side and one on the east side. v. Bike racks, cement picnic table, cement trash cans, and benches. vi. Downspouts and cable trays. vii. Fascia elements located at roof level of facility (coping cap excluded) viii. Metal doors and metal door trim. ix Wooden doors and door trims. x. Column/Pillar light fixtures and their supporting cable trays. g. Pressure wash and paint the metal staircase which serves the 3rd and 4th floors, located on the south-side of the facility (including top, underside railings, and concrete surfaces) h. Pressure wash and paint the exterior metal and wooden (T-111 boards) elements of the bridge (and it supporting structures) that extends from the District Attorney's Facility to the Courthouse Facility. (The brown top trim rail INCLUDED ) i. Pressure wash and paint the exterior of communications enclosure that is located in the executive parking lot. (Including coping cap). j. Pressure wash and paint the unpainted cement retaining walls that support and are otherwise appurtenant to the executive parking lot located at the corner of Forbes & 2nd street. This includes, but is not limited to, the retaining wall facing Forbes Street. k. Pressure wash and paint the retaining walls that surround the perimeter of the executive parking lot.
