Jackson-Madison county school system requests proposals for the replacement of the main waterline supply to the school building and additional piping in the building at community Montessori school. Jackson-Madison County School System will accept Alternate Bids for all underground piping to be installed via directional boring with HDPE type piping and fusion connections. Provide mechanical fitting secured connection at meter outlet. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, the following: Location Community Montessori School 716 Westwood Ave. Jackson, TN 38301. The Jackson-Madison County School System (JMCSS) is requesting proposals for the Replacement of the Main Waterline Supply and Additional Piping at Community Montessori School. o Installation of approximately 175' feet of 3" inch Schedule 40 PVC underground domestic water service line from the water meter location to the school building. o Installation of approximately 350' feet of 4" inch C900 pressure pipe underground domestic water service line from the water meter location to the school building. o Sawcut and patch existing concrete floor at both locations for installation of new underground water service piping. Convert to type L copper, once above finished floor. o All new domestic cold-water piping inside the building shall be L copper with solder connections. o All new domestic cold-water piping inside the building shall be insulated with 1/2 inch thick fiberglass. o Underground piping minimum 24" inch burial depth. o Any piping buried below any driveway or parking lot areas shall be backfilled with #57 crushed limestone. Installation of three (3) new 2" inch Watts Series LF919 reduced pressure back flow preventor assembly with strainer and air gap. o Clean up all debris and left over materials and dispose of them. o Contractor is responsible for abatement of any asbestos that may need to be removed to tie back in existing branch piping to new piping. o Contractor is responsible for trenching and boring for new piping installation. o Contractor is responsible for repair of areas disturbed from trenching and boring by sowing grass seed and covering with straw or using sod. o Contractor is responsible for field verifying all existing branch piping connections to existing galvanized piping and reconnecting all branch piping back to new domestic waterline.
