The City seeks proposals from qualified private redevelopers, commercial redevelopers, 501(c)(3)
organizations, and any other interested entities, to restore, program, and maintain the 1914 Plant
City High School Community Center. The building shall be restored to a safe, useable condition that keeps the historic and architectural
integrity intact. Historic and architectural integrity are measured by location, design, setting,
materials, workmanship, feeling, and association. The building shall then be maintained in its
historic, restored, safe, and useable condition. The building shall be put to a purpose that is beneficial to the community-at-large and uses should
be conducive to the historic neighborhood setting in which the building is located. Uses that focus
on history, arts, and culture are top priority. Other public facing beneficial uses that allow for
event space, rentals, and other group activities are highly desired. The deadline to submit questions is not later than 5:00 PM local time on Friday, May 26, 2023. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals at any time, for any
reason or no reason. Proposals submitted after the deadline shall be rejected. proposals
in unsealed or incorrectly marked envelopes or boxes shall be rejected. Fax, e-mail, or
telephone proposals shall be rejected. Proposals that are incomplete, unbalanced,
conditional, obscure, or which contain terms or additions not called for, alterations or
irregularities of any kind, or which do not comply with the RFP documents, if applicable,
may be rejected at the sole discretion of the City.
The deadline to submit questions is not later than 5:00 PM local time on Friday, May 26, 2023.
Questions shall be submitted in writing to the Procurement Department at
cpcprocurement@plantcitygov.com. Questions should include reference of the RFP name and
number in the subject line.
