The National Park Service, Northeast Region, New England Major Acquisition Buying Office intends to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for a firm fixed priced construction services contract, subject to the Davis-Bacon Act, to furnish all labor, supervision, supplies, equipment, tools, materials, all supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances and devices incidental to or necessary for the project required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents, Federal, State and Local regulations. Paint and repair Captain Penniman House, NPS, Cape Cod National Seashore, Eastham, Massachusetts. The Contractor is to furnish all transportation, vehicles, labor, supervision, supplies, equipment, tools, materials, all supplementary or miscellaneous items, appurtenances and devices incidental to or necessary for services required to complete the work in accordance with the Contract Documents, Federal, State and Local regulations. Period of performance is 90 days. The principal features of the Work include (but are not necessarily limited to) the following work items: Perform surface preparation on exterior surfaces of the Captain Penniman House scheduled for painting. This includes walls, windows, shutters storm windows, doors, trim, cupola, roof, chimney, foundation, stairs, south fence, platforms, and railings. Work will entail disturbance of in-place lead-containing paint coatings and must be performed in full compliance with applicable Local, State, and Federal regulations. Prime, caulk and apply finish coat(s) of paint or stain, as scheduled, to all previously painted/stained exterior surfaces prepared under the Work of this Contract. Repairs of following items: Trim at the northeast corner (approx. 8sf); Re-attach wood trim at west bay window; minor repair of West Front Porch; minor repair of front Door (East Side); and minor repair to column base west entrance. The NAICS code for this project is 238320 Painting and Wall Covering Contractors, and the small business size standard is $19 million. The order of magnitude for this project is estimated to be between $100,000. and $250,000.
