The Municipality places a high value on the timely completion of this project and reserves the right to hold the contractor liable for any unreasonable or avoidable delays. The value of the liquidated damages shall be $500 per day, for the period of delay beyond the agreed upon completion date. The successful bidder may submit a final invoice to the Municipality upon completion. A 10% holdback shall be applied for 60 days following satisfactory completion. Upon award, the successful bidder and the Municipality will jointly come to an agreement on timeline for completion. Removal of the south west steps on the bandstand, and a 24" x 24" section of the concrete slab for construction of wheelchair lift footing Construction and installation of concrete footing with rebar for wheelchair lift at the rear of the bandstand structure, to be 24" wide x 24" long x 24" deep (see cross section of footing for wheelchair lift diagram) Raising of railing on bandstand structure to meet building code Striping of old exterior paint on all structures and painting (bandstand, bathroom building, covered roof structures with metal beams and posts) Installation of railing for rear steps of bandstand All pathways to be at minimum anywhere of 6 feet wide Gravel (crusher dust) trails, amenities and parking lot Installation of gravel and compaction Installation of geotextile fabric for pathway, amenities and rest areas Installation of rest areas, bench and picnic table crusher dust pads One picnic table pad to be constructed from crusher dust, picnic area to have a clear space all the way around table of at minimum 2000mm (see typical rest area for picnic tables diagram) One bench pad to be constructed from crusher dust, bench area to have a 850mm by 1350mm clear space at one end of bench for wheel chair access (see typical rest area for park benches diagram) Pathway cross slope to not exceed 5% Pathways and wheelchair ramp running slopes unless exception criteria apply, shall comply with the following limits on gradients: 5% or less for any distance 5.1% to 8.3% for a maximum distance of 61 m 8.34% to 10% for a maximum distance of 9 m 10% to 12% for a maximum distance of 3 m Wheelchair ramp must have rest area where any change of slope or direction occurs All work to comply with applicable building and accessibility codes All signage will be installed by Public works
