Project Description The work includes design and construction services for a new Pass and ID Office at Naval Station Mayport. The Pass and ID Office is also considered the Visitor Control Center (VCC) of the Primary Entry Control Facility (ECF) located at Mayport Road and must be designed in accordance with UFC 4-022-01 Entry Control Facilities Access Control Points. The existing Pass and ID Office (Building 1983) floods during a combination of high tides and extreme storm events. Existing grade elevations adjacent to B1983 are approximately 4.25'. The new building shall be sited north of the existing building where site grade elevations are greater than 6.00'. In addition, the new building must be built up to a minimum Finished Floor Elevation (FFE) of 10.00'. Although the means of construction and layout of the new building will be open to the Contractor to determine, a shallow foundation with concrete stem wall, cmu walls from top of stems to the underside of roof and light gauged metal trusses, is recommended. A Conceptual Floor Plan is included in the Part 6 Attachments for guidance and as a starting point for the building's design. Infrastructure, civil, mechanical, electrical, fire protection systems, and landscaping must also be included in the scope of work.
