Roof Repair and Replacement for Royal Thai Pavillion at Olbrich Botanical Gardens - The City of Madison Engineering Division ("City") is soliciting Bids from qualified vendors for Royal Thai Pavilion Roof Replacement. This project consists of replacing the roof of the Royal Thai Pavilion (Olbrich Botanical Gardens) located at 3330 Atwood Avenue in Madison, WI. The project involves, but is not limited to, removing the existing roof tiles, flashings, wood battens and vertical spacers; installing related underlayments including moisture barrier and perforated metal panels; reinstalling battens and spacers; and installing new flashings, roof tiles, and built-up flashings. The Royal Thai Pavilion is a gift to the University of Wisconsin from the government of Thailand and was originally constructed by Thai artisans in 2001. The City maintains the Royal Thai Pavilion in partnership with the University of Wisconsin at Olbrich Botanical Gardens. The preliminary construction estimate for this project is approximately $675,000. Please note: Atwood Avenue Reconstruction work will require that the Contractor coordinate access to the staging area with Dan Bauknecht, WisDOT construction engineer. Daniel.Bauknecht@dot.wi.gov
