professional consulting firms interested in design of Airport Traffic Control Facilities at the Blue Grass Airport (LEX). The consultant contract will be administered by the LEX staff. It is LFUCAB’s intent to hire a Consultant firm, and team, who will produce a comprehensive design and prepare plan documents and cost estimates for the project. LFUCAB is interested in firms which can demonstrate expertise, credibility and ability to deliver such a project. Accuracy and integrity are paramount. Due to public interest in major airport infrastructure projects, it is likely that the project will be subject to extensive review by government agencies and the public. LFUCAB is an affirmative action and equal opportunity agency. The LFUCAB has established that there are opportunities for participation by Minority (MBE) and Women (WBE) Owned Businesses on this project. MBEs and WBEs are collectively considered as Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE). The ability of the Consultant to provide meaningful work for the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) on this project will be considered in the selection of the most qualified firm. The DBE contract goal for this project is 5.6% of the contract amount.
