Saving Project...

Site work and paving for a sidewalk / parking lot in Newport, Rhode Island. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; and for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot.

The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to remove and dispose broken or otherwise unacceptable concrete manhole/catch basin cover and furnish and install a new concrete cover to support vehicle loading, H-20 minimum. All work shall be in accordance with the Rhode Island Department of Transportation specifications and standards. All utility castings shall be located in the field by the Contractor prior to removal. Locations shall be documented and filed with the City. Castings to be reused shall be marked by the Contractor to identify each cover and frame assembly and its specific location. The Contractor shall also protect the castings from damage and store them in a safe manner. Any castings damaged shall be replaced at the Contractors expense Reference Number 0000319459 Certified check or proposal bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, satisfactory to and payable to the order of the City of Newport, RI.
