It is the intent of the CCTA to contract for full-time custodial and janitorial services, including supervision and all labor, equipment, supplies and incidentals necessary to perform satisfactorily an exceptionally high level of cleaning services at the frequencies and during the hours as specified herein. The services shall include ALL FUNCTIONS normally considered to be a part of a highly prof. Services will be provided at two different locations - CCTA building and Kalamazoo Transportation Center (KTC). Staffing shall include one staff member at the KTC on premises from open to close. Staffing shall include one staff member for up to 8 hours at the CCTA main facility (see schedule for details). Staff may float between the two facilities to help with duties. Bidders are reminded that all schedules defined herein are specified at minimum frequencies. The contractor's employees will be expected to work diligently during all hours of service in a continual effort to maintain the Transportation Department facilities in a way in which both the CCTA and the Contractor can take pride. Contractor's employees shall at all times project a conscientious, professional, caring attitude toward patrons and employees. Major cleaning services such as wet mopping and spray buffing must be accomplished during periods of minimum occupancy by the public and in sections if necessary. Wet areas shall be secured from traffic by roping and signage furnished by the Contractors. Method of securing these areas to be approved by the Project Manager. Any binding explanation desired by a bidder regarding the meaning or interpretation of the Invitation for Bid (IFB) and attachments must be requested in writing, at least 5 days before the bid opening so a reply may reach all prospective bidders the submission of bids.
