SUMMARY STATEMENT Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration Laurel Maintenance Facility is currently soliciting bids for the Roadside Hand Mowing around Guardrail, Signs, Grass Islands, Culverts, and Litter with Small Mowing Equipment in Prince George's County Maryland. The Routes Consist of various locations throughout Prince George's County. Basis of payment for this service shall be included in the costs and job functions of the crew. This contract will be used as needed to support State Highway Administration mowing. Efforts during the 2023 summer mowing season. II. SMALL BUSINESS RESERVE PROCUREMENT This is a Small Business Reserve Procurement for which award will be limited to Certified Small Business vendors. Only vendors that meet the statutory requirements set forth in State Finance and Procurement Article Subsections 14-501 - 14-505, Annotated Code of Maryland, and who are registered with the Department of General Services Small Business Reserve Program are eligible for award of a contract. Refer to Attachment No. II for further information regarding this program. IIIA. The Procurement Officer may be contacted at telephone number 301-776- 7619 between 7:00 A.M. and 4:00 P.M. IIIB. PRE-BID CONFERENCE There will not be a Pre-Bid meeting for this Contract. SITE INVESTIGATION By submitting a bid the vendor acknowledges that he has investigated and satisfied himself as to the conditions affecting the work, including but not restricted to those bearing upon transportation, disposal, handling and storage of materials, availability of labor, or other environmental factors that may impact the work to be performed. Any failure by the contractor to acquaint himself with the available information will not relieve him from responsibility for estimating properly the cost of successfully performing the work. The SHA shall not be responsible for any conclusions or interpretations made by the contractor of the information made available by the MDOT SHA.
