Site work for a water / sewer project in Edinburg, Texas. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

1.0 PROJECT: Interior lining of existing Ground Storage Tank 2.0 LOCATION: U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection Quarantine (PPQ), Moore Air Base, 22675 N. Moorefield Road, Edinburg Texas 78541 3.0 PROJECT BACKGROUND: Moore Air Base Galvanized Ground Storage Tank interior is corroded and is in need to install a liner to eliminate rust and protect the potable water and avoid state violations. The ground storage tank holds 43,938 gallons of water and stand at 16 ft. tall, with a 21 ft. Diameter. The Ground Storage Tank is located in an open site which provides ample space for staging of the contractor's equipment during the tank repair. 4.0 PROJECT SCOPE: Fabricate a tank liner using our NSF-61 compliant F-1 material formulation of flexible, modified polyvinyl chloride with a thickness of 0.065" on the sidewalls and on the floor. Also place a 6oz non-woven geotextile fabric between the substrate surface and the liner to level and protect the liner from being damaged by any uneven or rough areas on the tank surface. All plant-welds will be lap-weld, with a minimum 1/2" overlap. Thickness of the finished weld shall not be more than 0.010" more than the thickness of the un-welded original material. Connections (inlets, outlets, overflows, manhole) should be attached using a hot air welder. Internal penetrations should be lined with a sleeve that wraps around the pipe and sealed with a stainless-steel hose clamp. For external penetrations, the liner should go through the inside of the pipe and terminates at the flange face. Any nozzles will be field welded into the tank lining on site. The Ground Storage Tank is going to be placed out of service and drain the water. Once the Liner is in place and all field-welding is finished, the liner must be hydrostatically tested for leaks. Any problem locations must be identified and repaired by installation crew. 5.0 Materials: All tools and materials needed to perform the repair will be provided by the contractor. 6.0 Time: Job time frame is limited to five days maximum.
