A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The project will construct a new traffic signal at the intersection of Lyons Avenue and Walnut Street, including median modifications and new curb ramps. This project will also include a bicycle boulevard with new signing and striping along Walnut Street from Market Street to the South Fork Trail. Bid bonds shall be furnished by all Bidders in the amount of at least 10% of the total value of the bid to guarantee that Bidders will enter into contract to furnish goods or services at prices stated. The bonding company must be listed on Treasury Circular 570 and licensed to operate in the state of California. Likewise, a Faithful Performance Bond and a Labor and Material Bond shall be required of the successful Bidder when stated in the specification (cash deposit, certified or cashier's check, or money order may be substituted in lieu of the bid bond). The successful Bidder will be required to furnish a Labor and Material Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price and a Faithful Performance Bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract price. Also, the successful Bidder will be required to submit worker's compensation insurance, and liability insurance with the contract. Surety bonds shall be signed by a guaranty or surety company listed in the latest issue of the U.S. Treasury Circular 570 and satisfactory to the City.
