Demolition and site work for an educational facility in Alexandria, Virginia. Completed plans call for the demolition of a educational facility; and for site work for a educational facility.
The project is generally described as the demolition of the ACE Building (former Tyler Building) on the NVCC Campus in Alexandria, Virginia. The work includes the disconnection and removal or capping of associated utilities within the general boundaries of the existing curbs and sidewalks surrounding the structure, abatement of hazardous materials, backfilling of the remaining excavation and grading for proper drainage, and stabilization of the site with permanent grassing. Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Bid Bond (Form CO-10.2) is required. Commonwealth of Virginia Standard Performance Bond (CO-10) and Standard Labor and Material Payment Bond (CO-10.1) will be required regardless of contract amount. Procedures for submitting a bid, claiming an error, withdrawal of bids and other pertinent information are contained in the Instructions to Bidders, which is part of the Invitation for Bids. Withdrawal due to error in bid shall be permitted in accord with Section 9 of the Instructions to Bidders and § 2.2-4330, Code of Virginia. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids
