Site work for a road / highway in Lancaster, South Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.

Question Submission Deadline May 23, 2023, 5:00pm 2023 Pavement Preservation Project: Provide all materials, equipment, and labor to repair various county paved roads and parking lots throughout Lancaster County in accordance with the specifications, conditions, and provisions as provided herein. Note 1: All work done by the Contractor must be in accordance with the South Carolina Department of Transportation 2007 Standard Specifications for Highway Construction and Supplemental Specifications unless otherwise instructed by Lancaster County Department of Public Works. Note 2: Work shall be completed Monday - Friday with the exception of County observed holidays, during daylight hours. Lane closures should be restricted between 8:30AM and 4:30PM. Any deviation from these hours shall be approved in writing by the Engineer. For parking lot improvements, schedules and staging of work will be coordinated with Lancaster County to determine the most beneficial method for all parties. Note 3: The DSS parking area has a paved section and a gravel section. The Contractor will patch any failed areas and mill and resurface the paved section with 1" of HMA Surface Type D. Lancaster County will grade and prep the gravel lot prior to the Contractor patching any failed areas and place 2" of HMA Surface Type C. Note 4: The Contractor is responsible for moving/replacing any items necessary to facilitate the parking lot improvements and will be incidental to the project. The Contractor is responsible for restriping the parking areas to the original layout unless otherwise directed by the Engineer according to the applicable pay items. Lancaster County will coordinate the vacating of vehiclesfrom parking lots prior to construction. Note 5: Whitehall Subdivision will be milled and resurfaced at 1.5" depth. All other Surface Type C placement is intended to be 2" in depth. Note 6: Limits of milling will be determined in the field with the Engineer. HMA Surface D lift thickness is 1". Note 7: A schedule of work must be maintained and provided to the Engineer. This schedule will be communicated to the County and associated communities for coordination with the clearing of streets. Note 8: Contingent items are to be used as needed and will not be paid unless pre-approved by the Engineer. Note 9: All paving will comply with temperature restrictions per the SCDOT specifications. No surface course paving will be allowed between December 15 and February 15 unless otherwise approved by the Engineer. Note 10: County Administration Building parking lot is located at 101 N. Main St, Lancaster, SC 29720. County Department of Social Services parking lots are located at 1837 Pageland Hwy, Lancaster, SC 29720. Location maps are provided for all other work locations
