The Work generally consists of on-call services for replacement of concrete streets, curbs, driveways, and sidewalks at locations of any customers directly served by the City of Cedar Rapids Utilities - Water Division, as well as replacement of driveways and sidewalks at five pre-determined sites for the City of Cedar Rapids Utilities - Solid Waste Division. Work includes, but is not limited to, pavement removal, sub-base preparation, grading, concrete formwork, placement of portland cement concrete and hot mix asphalt, provide traffic control, restore the surface, and final clean-up at work sites The Engineer's estimate of probable cost is $375,000. Bid security, as defined in Section 26.8 of the Iowa Code, in the amount of FIVE percent of the Bid must accompany each Bid. The successful bidder shall be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each in the amount of 100 percent of the Contract Price. The City Council of the City of Cedar Rapids reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive informalities and technicalities, and to enter into such contracts as it deems to be in the best interest of the City. The City reserves the right to defer acceptance of any proposal for 60 calendar days after the bids have been received and opened
