Work is generally to include the rehabilitation of an existing Duplex Submersible Lift Station (which does not include replacement of the concrete wet well and valve vault), 1 Combination Air Release Valve & Box, 785 LF of 3-inch HDPE DR11 force main, and EITHER 210-feet of 3" HDPE inserted into an existing 6-inch ductile iron pipe OR 210-feet of 3" HDPE installed by Horizontal Directional Drill under the Kentucky River. To be constructed at the Cox-Napier Lift Station near Perry County Park in Hazard, KY. Bids will be received for a single prime Contract. Bids shall be on a unit price basis Questions regarding this project must be received by Nesbitt Engineering, Inc. in writing addressed to Bill McGregor (859-685-4525) at bmcgregor@nei-ky.com no later than 5:00 pm on May/29/2023. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, the Anti-Kickback Act, Non segregated facilities order 32FR 7439, and the Contract Work Hours Standard Act. This project will follow, and bidders must comply with Executive Order No. 11246 (EEO) as amended, prohibiting discrimination in employment regarding race, creed, color, sex or national origin. Contractors/subcontractors will comply with 41 CFR 60-4, (affirmative action), to ensure equal opportunity to females and minorities and will apply the timetables and goal set forth in 41 CFR 60-4. This contract is NOT subject to federal nor state wage rates. This project is funded with a Cleaner Water Program Grant and local funds. This project will NOT be subject to DOW Procurement Guidance including the American Iron & Steel and Davis-Bacon Act.
