Site work for a road / highway in Durham, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The City of Durham Department of Transportation is requesting bids for the project described above. This project consists of the installation of and the removal, if necessary, of Pavement Markings at various locations within the City of Durham. This project shall conform to the North Carolina Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Roads and Structures, January 2018 and any addendum ("Standard Specifications"). The completion date is 365 calendar days after receiving notice to proceed. The Contractor shall furnish all materials and equipment needed to install the necessary improvements. Liquidated damages for this project are $500.00 per calendar day for failure to complete this project by the completion date. The City of Durham Department of Transportation, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat.252) and the Regulations of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (49 C.F.R., Part 21), issued pursuant to such act, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this notice will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of sex, race, color or national origin.
