Site work for a bridge / tunnel in Minnesota Lake, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel.
The Department of Natural Resources is seeking bids for the labor, equipment, materials, tools, transportation, and incidentals necessary to do the following work: -On a minimum maintenance/sand road, brush mow both sides for a width of 4' and a distance of 1.9 miles. -Shape and crown the road surface to a width of 14' by road grading 4 passes for 1.9 miles. -Remove two culverts from Wallingford Creek and install a single arch culvert. -Install a low water crossing south of the arch culvert by shaping a low spot in the road grade and installing filter fabric and geocell to armor the road bed for water flow. -Install 200' by 15' of filter fabric on a portion of corduroy swamp road. -Supply and place 300 cubic yards of MnDot Class 5 gravel over the creek crossing area and swamp road location. -In an area of ATV damage, doze to shape the road for a distance of 50', moving approximately 40 cubic yards of sand. Place 20, 2' boulders, to block future ATV damage. All responses must be submitted electronically through the Swift Portal. No e-mail or faxed responses will be accepted. The vendor is responsible for reviewing all attachments and complying with all requirements to this Event. DNR will be the determining factor if vendor meets specifications. All questions should be directed to the buyer listed in this event. Unit price must include all costs such as labor, materials, tools, transportation, equipment, sales tax, use tax and all else necessary for completion of the project. Direct Pay Permit 1114 does not apply to this project. Award--Item, Group, Total: Responses that do not comply with the solicitation will be considered nonresponsive and will be rejected. The award will be made to the lowest responsible vendor meeting the specifications and all terms and conditions. The State reserves the right to award items separately, by grouping items, or by total, whichever is deemed most advantageous to the State. The contractor will provide the Class 5 gravel and transport the culvert from the state office in Park Rapids to the work site. 1.2. LOCATION OF WORK The location of the project is: Badoura State Forest, Hubbard County (Road Site Maps attached) 1.3. OWNER The work is to be performed on property owned by the State of Minnesota, Department of Natural Resources.
