As of October 30, 2023, project was awarded to Spectrum Underground, Inc., awarded amount is $3,059,273.20. Demolition and removal of all existing remaining infrastructure, above & below surface, associated appurtenances, mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, equipment, etc., including removal of 3 reject ponds, leveling of 3 reject ponds after the removal of liner materials at the decommissioned Fruitville Water Reclamation Facility site. At the nearby Tatum Ridge Golf Course, the piping needs to be cut & capped between the 2 plug valves located in the FPL easement. Alternate work (if chosen) includes the demolition of the Sarasota Center pump station.
