This Request for Proposals (the "RFP") is an invitation by the Government of Manitoba ("Manitoba"), as represented by the Department of Consumer Protection & Government Services, Capital Project Planning and Delivery ("CPPD") on behalf of the owner of the project, Manitoba Housing and Renewal Corporation ("Owner") to prospective proponents to submit proposals for Weston Park Boiler Mechanical Upgrades Phase 1, as further described in Section 1 of the RFP Particulars (Appendix 3) (the "Work"). CPPD requires the services of a General Contractor or a Mechanical Contractor to as a General Contractor for Boiler Mechanical Upgrades in 5 low-rise Multi-family buildings (Identified as Buildings D, E, F, G & W in the Contract Drawings), located at 330 & 331 Blake Street in Winnipeg, MB. The Scope of Work for this Phase includes, but is not limited to: Site work (natural gas service piping) upgrades for all 15 buildings on the site Removal of an indirect water-heater tied to the heating system and replacement with a gas fired water heater. (4 buildings) Adding a domestic hot water recirculation pump and line (5 buildings). Replacement of control valves and thermostats for the suites. (5 buildings) General Piping revisions to suit equipment installation (5 buildings) The work site locations (The suites in each building) will be fully occupied during construction. The contractor must maintain the heat in all the units during the heating season. CPPD is administering this RFP process.
