It is the intent of this specification to request for bids to establish a contract for all materials, tools, equipment, and labor for the purchase and installation of new 327D Corridor Sliding Door Device (31.5 inches device) at the Veteran's Courthouse building, located at the Essex County Hall of Records Complex, 465 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Newark, New Jersey 07102. Bidder shall simultaneously with the delivery of the executed contract, submit an executed performance, and labor and material payment bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the amount bid as security for the faithful performance of this contract and for the required labor and materials of this contract. Unless otherwise directed in writing by the County, failure to submit this with the executed contract shall be cause for declaring the contract null and void. If so stated in the Bid Proposal Compliance Form, a pre-bid conference for this proposal will be held. Attendance is not mandatory, but is strongly recommended. Failure to attend does not relieve the bidder of any requirements. The bid shall be submitted in a sealed envelope: (1) addressed to the County, (2) bearing the name and address of the bidder written on the face of the envelope, and (3) clearly marked "BID" with the contract title and/or bid # being bid. All questions must be submitted in writing to the Office of Purchasing via fax to 973-621-5109, no later than 4:30 PM end of business day, eight (8) business days prior to the deadline for submission of bids.
