Properly draining streets eliminates icing problems or mosquito producing puddles. New pavement and storm inlet grates protects the public from walking and biking hazards. Environmental Impact - Improved streets create a clean and attractive community, and increased property values. Operational Impact - Improved streets eliminates time spent on patching and pothole filling. Legal Impact - Improved streets meet ADA ramp and sidewalk requirements, and replace hazardous storm grates with bike safe grates. Alignment with City's Plans - Conforms with the practical vision to Create Engaging Public Spaces and Invest in Critical Infrastructure. Funding - Grants are sought through the Local Road Improvement Program and the State Surface Transportation Program - Urban through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Estimated Costs include engineering, design, staking, construction, and inspection. As of May 11, 2023, this project is included in the City of Port Washington's Fiscal Year 2023-2027 CIP and funding is allotted for FY 2024. *Project information has been obtained through a public capital improvement plan (CIP).
