Properly draining streets eliminates icing problems or mosquito producing puddles. New pavement and storm inlet grates protects the public from walking and biking hazards. Environmental Impact - Improved streets create a clean and attractive community, and increased property values. Operational Impact - Improved streets eliminates time spent on patching and pothole filling. Legal Impact - Improved streets meet ADA ramp and sidewalk requirements, and replace hazardous storm grates with bike safe grates. Alignment with City's Plans - Conforms with the practical vision to Create Engaging Public Spaces and Invest in Critical Infrastructure. Funding - Grants are sought through the Local Road Improvement Program and the State Surface Transportation Program - Urban through the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. Estimated Costs include engineering, design, staking, construction, and inspection.
