Bid Submission Packets, which include all forms required to be submitted at the time of the bid, will also be provided in .pdf format on the flash drive. The Bid Submission Packets MUST be used to submit a bid bidders shall NOT use sample forms included in the project manual. Bids will be accepted only on forms in the Bid Submission Packet. Forms must be printed single-sided on 8 1/2 " x 11" sheets of paper. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Guaranty in the form of either a Bid Guaranty and Contract Bond for the full amount of the bid (including all add alternates) or a certified check, cashier's check, or an irrevocable letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid (including all add alternates), as described in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid Security furnished in Bond form shall be issued by a Surety Company or Corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety. A performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, are also required to ensure the faithful performance of the contract. Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage current rates on public improvements in Hamilton County, Ohio, as ascertained by the Department of Industrial Relations, State of Ohio. Bidders must ensure that all employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, creed, color, religion, sex, national origin, familial status, handicap, age or ancestry. Springfield Township reserves the right to waive irregularities in bids, to reject any or all bids, to conduct such investigation as necessary to determine the responsibility of a bidder, and to accept the bid which it deems to be in the best interest of Springfield Township, even if it is not the lowest, Ohio products, materials, services and labor must be used to the extent practicable. The total price, the ability to meet all specifications, and other factors set forth in the bid document will be taken into consideration in determining which bid is the lowest and best. Except as expressly permitted by law, no bidder may withdraw a bid for a period of 60 calendar days after the date of the opening thereof.
