The Work to be performed under these Drawings and Specifications consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment for performing all Work required for mobilizing; demobilizing; conducting surveys; protection of the environment; protection of the environment, excavation, construction of approximately 460 linear feet of breakwater, dredging two nearshore borrow sources or obtaining sand from an approved upland source, and installing approximately 2,200 cubic yards of fill material along a breached portion of the islands northwest shoreline and up to approximately 15,000 cubic yards of dredged material within a nearshore feeder berm template near the southwestern shoreline. The anticipated completion deadline for all Work is February 13th, 2025, in compliance with conditions of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers individual permit. Three main project components: North Breach Fill Work includes dredging of material from the designated borrow areas (Base Bid) or importing material from an upland source (Alternate Bid) and mechanical placement within the North Breach Fill template. North Breach Fill Breakwater Work includes minor earthwork as required to meet foundation elevations and construction of approximately 462 linear feet of Gabion Basket or Artificial Reef breakwater. Feeder Mound (Additive Bid 1) Work includes dredging of material from the designated borrow areas and hydraulic or mechanical placement within the Feeder Mound template. Miscellaneous items include environmental protection, construction surveying, and site cleanup/restoration.
