Renovation of a municipal facility in Dover, Delaware. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

SCOPE OF WORK A. Remove all existing HVAC equipment and associated wiring, piping, ductwork, and components to include but not limited to: (51) Total VAV boxes, a Carrier 11,000 CFM unit, a Carrier 20,600 CFM air handler, (4) Hot water cabinet unit heaters (2) located in of the two lobby entranceways, (2) 8.2MBH hot water convectors, one located at the bottom of each stairwell, (1) ceiling hung hot water unit heater serving attic area, (1) hot water baseboard heater located in the drive through area with an integrated baseboard mounted control valve, (2) American Standard, gas fired, atmospheric cast iron boilers, basement air handlers, ductwork, associated pumps, piping, control system, (2) One horse power hot water pumps, (2) Carrier 40-ton roof top mounted chillers, (2) 7-1/2 HP Chilled water pumps, and (1) Building makeup air fan (28,000 CFM) located in the attic. IFP-2 B. Remove and abate all asbestos/duct mastic on maroon round ducts as reported in Appendix B. C. Repair any holes or voids through walls or passageways created by the removal and installation of the HVAC system to include the removal and installation of drop ceiling. D. The proposer proposes and agrees to furnish all necessary personnel, equipment, materials, electrical connections, and permits necessary to install the newly designed HVAC system as specified in Appendix A. Proposers are to perform all work in full and complete in accordance with applicable laws and standards and to the satisfaction of the City. Work will be performed on a lump sum basis. Proposer must include the Lump sum on the proposal form. E. The selected proposer shall strategically remove and dispose of all old system components (to include associated duct, piping, wiring, asbestos, etc.) while systematically installing the new system floor by floor, starting on the third floor. The intent is to maintain tolerable temperature conditions throughout the building during the install process with as little downtime as possible. F. The proposer shall note that the Weyandt Hall building is and will continue to be fully occupied by City of Dover staff. The City will make reasonable accommodations to relocate staff while work is being performed on the respective floor which will require effective scheduling of work and clear communication between contract managers and appropriate City staff. All questions will be compiled and answered in the form of an addendum and will be emailed to all prospective proposers who return the attached RFP notice and will be posted on the City of Dover web site, https://www.cityofdover.com/bid-procurement. All changes or correctionsto this Requestfor Proposal will be handled by addenda issued by the PurchasingOffice. The receipt of all addenda must be acknowledged in the proposal submission.
