1. Remove existing asphalt and properly dispose (See photo of existing court in Figure 2)
2. Remove two (2) basketball goals and footers
3. Install and laser grade rock base and compact to 98% density.
4. Prime rock base with SS-1H
5. Pave (100' x 56' area) with one and one half (1.5) inches of VIRGIN Type S-3 hot mix asphalt, one lift. Hard
Courts must have a slope of 1% in order to allow removal of water.
6. Furnish and install two (2) Basketball units
a. Option 1: 10' high basketball system with a 60" clear no-break backboard, breakaway rim and post
pad (seen in Figure 3).
b. Option 2: 10' high basketball system with a 35 1/2 " x 54" aluminum fan shaped backboard, breakaway rim and post pad (seen in Figure 4).
7. The Basketball units will be set in engineered concrete foundations
8. Flood courts to find out areas with mayor water depressions.
9. Level any depressions greater than 1/16" with Acrylic Court Patch.
10. Apply two (2) coats of Acrylic Black Resurfacer (100% Acrylic)
11. Apply two (2) Color Coats (100% Acrylic) (Maroon color see Figure 5)
12. Seal and Paint 2" white lines to national standards for Basketball.
13. Provide stencil and paint the logo seen in Figure 6 on center court (
14. Clean the area.
