Award of Contract 6/12/23 Start of Construction 6/13/23 End of Const (Anticipated) 10/15/23 Bidders required bid security amount 5% of the base bid. All bidders must be indicate , where shown on the proposal form , the Performance and Labor and material Payment bond covering 100% of the value of the project. The owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive all irregularities in proposals. Proposals shall be remain firm for 60 days from date of bid opening. East Lansing Public Schools, East Lansing, Michigan, will receive proposals from qualified contractors for District Wide Playground Improvements, located at elementary schools throughout the district. GENERAL CONTRACTOR A. Work Included: The contract of this work shall include all the labor, materials, and permits necessary and incidental to the complete construction, as indicated on the Drawings and specified in Division 1 through Division 32 of the Specifications, for District Wide Playground Improvements. B. The contractor shall maintain proper barricades and other protection for the public. C. The General Contractor shall provide a full-time field superintendent acceptable to the Owner, and coordinate all other Sub-trades. D. Building Layout: It shall be the responsibility of the General Contractor (or a qualified Civil Engineer who he has hired) to have the building laid out, establishing all lines and grades and maintaining a check on the same throughout construction. Mechanical and electrical contractors shall be responsible for maintaining all invert elevations in relation to finish floor elevations as set by this Contractor. E. Guarantee and Waiver of Lien: 1. All work shall be guaranteed for one year from date of acceptance, unless specifically required for a longer guarantee, during which time any imperfections or failure of products, which may develop in workmanship or materials shall be made good without cost to the Owner. 2. When required for payment or closing out of contract, guarantees and waivers of liens shall be provided by contractors, subcontractor and materials suppliers. F. Bonding & Licensing: The General and Sub-Contractors are required to comply with the City of East Lansing requirements for Bonding, Insurance and Licensing before commencement of any and all work.
