Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Hastings, Minnesota. Completed plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The three buildings in the county have older fire alarm systems not consistent with the county standard. The project is to replace the current fire alarm system with a system consistent with the county standard and to update the building to meet current fire codes. This work includes: 1. Remove all fire system equipment which cannot be used with the new fire systems. 2. Replace each buildings' Simplex fire panel with an appropriately sized Notifier panel. 3. Replace the current peripheral devices with detection and notification devices compatible with the new Notifier panel. 4. Bring all buildings up to the current fire code for each area. 5. Integrate each building's special equipment (secondary suppression systems, smoke purge systems, etc.) into the fire panel as needed 6. Reuse the existing communicator at each site (Bosch B465 with a Bosch B444 cellular module). Purpose: Dakota County is seeking proposals for professional engineering and design services to replace existing fire notifications systems at the Dakota County Administration Center (1590 Highway 55, Hastings, MN 55033), Wentworth Library (199 East Wentworth Avenue, West St. Paul, MN 55118), and the Dakota County Juvenile Service Center (1600 Highway 55, Hastings, MN 55033).
