Offers received from other than small businesses will be rejected. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. The intent of the contract is to provide regrading to the lower section of the Eyak River Boat Ramp. In summary, the project generally consists of the following (also see Specification Section 01 00 00, Section J): 1. Ensure site and river access is maintained for the public. A temporary ramp location immediately down river of the boat launch will serve as river access during construction. Ensure this area remains accessible during construction. 2. Establish and maintain best management practices for site erosion and sediment control. 3. Isolate & dewater the in-stream portion of the project site. Hydraulic bladder dam is the only permitted method for work area isolation and dewatering. Coordinate with the Cordova Ranger District for fish removal during dewatering. The ADF&G Fish Habitat permit requires fish to be removed by District Staff. 4. For the regraded section of boat launch, temporarily remove existing concrete planks to on-site staging location and protect planks and rubber spacers from damage. Care should be taken to stage planks in a manner that does not introduce danger to the visiting public. The location shall be approved by COR. Remaining planks (above station 2+03.75) to be fastened in place to prevent movement during construction. Protect exposed sections of cable during construction, cables not to be severed. Planks will be reinstalled onto existing cable. 5. Remove and dispose of end planks. Only the end planks of the boat launch will be disposed of. These are the planks located at the lowest point of the ramp and are buried (see Plans, Section J). 6. Provide and place classified fill, geotextile, riprap, and crushed aggregates for regraded section of boat ramp, salvaging existing materials where possible. 7. Reinstall temporarily removed concrete planks including rubber spacers and ramp terminal end fittings and hardware per new grades. Provide 4 replacement stainless steel swageless terminal end fittings. 8. Provide and place joint aggregate between planks.
