*As of 05/17/2023, this bid has been cancelled. A timeline for rebidding has not been established.* The Town is soliciting qualifications from solar developers that can design, permit, install, finance, operate and maintain a solar system on the Town landfill and provide the Town an annual lease payment for utilizing the land over a 20-year period. The solar system shall be owned and operated by the respondents and developed at no-up-front cost to the Town, including all associated engineering, permitting and utility interconnection costs. The Town is seeking proposals from solar developers to provide a solar agreement for the Town. The term of the contract is expected to be twenty (20) years. The Town is seeking a revenue share land lease agreement with the selected developer. The Town of Westerly ("Town") reserves the right to waive any and all informalities and to award the contract on the basis of the most qualified proposal in the best interest of the Town. Any questions on the RFP may be submitted up to 12:00 PM on June 6, 2023, via email to Eileen Cardillo at ecardillo@westerlyri.gov. Responses to questions will be posted on the Town of Westerly's website.
