Submit questions no later than Friday, May 19, 2023 Contractor shall secure, include costs therefore in the Bid, and pay for bonds issued by a bonding company with a Bests rating of A, or better, and licensed to transact business in the State of Washington in Statutory Form. A bid security, in the form of a certified check, bank cashiers check or bid bond is required with each Bid in an amount equal to (5) percent of the Base Bid, plus Additive Alternates, if any. 2. Should a bidder fail to enter into an Agreement with the Owner and/or fail to furnish the bonds required by the Contract Documents within ten (10) days after his/her Bid has been accepted, the Contractors Bid Security shall be forfeited to the Owner as liquidated damages, not as a penalty. *The value for this project is based on a financial range. The value is listed as the highest possible cost from the range provided by a stakeholder or official project document. Provide all labor, materials and equipment required to complete all the Work under a single, lump sum contract for the New Municipal Building, located at 1312 1 st St, Cosmopolis, WA, as shown on the Drawings and described in the Project Manual. Items of the Work include, but are not limited to: 1. Concrete walks and asphalt pavement. 2. 9,219 square foot, single-story with mezzanine, wood-framed building. 3. Pile supported structural slab. 4. Fiber-cement and metal siding and trim and metal roofing. 5. Aluminum framed windows, aluminum doors and storefront, metal doors and frames and wood doors and metal frames. 6. Automatic fire suppression. 7. Emergency generator Estimated construction cost is between $2.6 and $2.8 Million 4,545 sf, single-story, wood frame addition to the existing 1,500 City Hall building to accommodate the City Hall and Police Department operations.
