Site work and paving for a bridge / tunnel in Shelby, North Carolina. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
The City of Shelby is accepting bids on a culvert replacement project located near 411 Whisnant Street in Shelby, NC. The project demo of existing culvert and the installation of two (2) 36-inch HDPE culverts with headwalls and two curb inlets with frame/grate. The project will also require the relocation of a 6-inch waterline under the proposed culvert. Contractor must start project within 30 days of Notice to Proceed. The City will require contractors to complete the project within forty-five (45) consecutive days after mobilization. Weather days will be determined and assessed as needed. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any or all offers, and award jobs individually based on the bids and available funds A $500 per day liquidated damages clause will be included in the contract. Odom Engineering will address questions concerning the construction and bid documents. There will be no performance or bid bonds required for this project.
