Howard County intends to procure the services of one or more construction firms to perform construction for the replacement of Howard County Bridge No. HO-105 carrying Henryton Road over a tributary to Patapsco River. The project includes removal of the existing bridge superstructure and portions of the existing abutment and wing walls; construction of a new single span precast prestressed concrete beam bridge; installation of temporary traffic control devices, stream diversion, and erosion and sediment controls; removal of temporary access road and twin RCP; construction of approach roadway tie-ins from the existing pavement; and installation of new traffic barrier W-beams and signing. This project is in SHA Cost Group "D". Each bid shall be accompanied by an electronic copy of a bid bond OR certified check, in the amount of 5% of the total bid, made payable to the "Director of Finance, Howard County". For a certified check, the Contractor shall submit the original certified check to the Office of Procurement and Contract Administration PRIOR to the bid due date and time to be deemed responsive.
