Demolition and renovation of an educational facility in Long Beach, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 26,000-square-foot educational facility.
ERICKSON-HALL CONSTRUCTION COMPANY HAS BEEN SELECTED AS THE LEASE-LEASEBACK CONTRACTOR FOR THE STANFORD MIDDLE SCHOOL INTERIM HOUSING PROJECT. Project Scope: Selective demolition, site preparation to receive portable classroom buildings, including wet and dry utilities, electrical and low voltage infrastructure feeding the portable classroom buildings, landscape repairs, site and building signage, asphalt repairs, ADA striping, fencing, drinking fountain, drywells, low voltage and fire alarm upgrades, and placing asphalt and concrete walkways. The scope also include off site work to relocate existing portable classroom buildings from (3) different campus to Stanford and refurbishing the existing portable classrooms. Per PCC 20111.6, MEP subcontractors are required to be prequalified with Long Beach USD and must submit a prequalification questionnaire at www.Qualitybidders.com minimum ten (10) business days prior to the bid opening, if not already prequalified. Project is subject to an Owner Controlled Insurance Program (OCIP) and Skilled and Trained Workforce (STWF). Subcontractors of all tiers must have an EMR of 1.24 or less at the time of enrollment and not greater than 1.5 over the last 5 years. Subcontractors must comply with general prevailing rates (PCC.1720 et seq.) and shall be registered with the DIR.CA.gov prior to submitting a bid (LaborCode 1725.5). Each BIDDER shall be a licensed contractor in the classification as required for the work to be performed at the time of bid submission and must maintain the licenses throughout the duration of the project. Selective demolition and construction necessary for the Stanford Middle School Interim Housing Project, including associated civil, architectural, structural, plumbing, mechanical and/or electrical work as indicated in the Drawings and Specifications. Generally, these categories of work involve new finishes, adaptive re-use and modification of certain selected areas, new cabinetry, handicap accessibility retrofits, reroofing, and adding HVAC to instructional areas, library and administrative areas and pertain to changing and expanding selected infrastructure utilities, and extensive modifications. The Project will involve the "phasing" and barricading of work areas as indicated on the Plans and enumerated in these Specifications. District to provide Contractor phasing plan including school calendar, testing dates, before/after school programs, site lease by others, etc
